    Landscaping: Having studied longer term effect of habitats, we have planted 300+ varieties of plants in the first phase. Most of these are slow growing but few years from now, we can not only appreciate the beauty of them but also the herbal values and fruits. Drip irrigation has been installed to conserve and effectively feed. Roads: Completed most of the road development with cemented main roads and asphalted side roads. Some road surfacing (top layer) work will be done in April (for the effectiveness of road formation, it is scheduled at the peak of summer). Underground Services: Most of the underground services are done. As you may have noticed streetlights are done with natural stones- cut and grooved. Typical street lighting is done with conservation in mind - first, all street lights are using CFL/LEDs. Second, these are connected in dual circuitry mode, ie., at any time typically midnight, you can turn off one circuit still providing lighting; this reduces light pollution and power consumption. Lastly, these are all connected to the central grind whose primary supply is solar and augmented with state electricity board power. Some of you may have noticed that we have installed solar panels on the entrance gateway. Water: Water needs a special mention! We have dug over 220 wells to catch and percolate rainwater. While most of the builders are encroaching, we have reserved some plots for building reservoirs. This is the first year of water development and we have already noticed the water retention and surface water development. We have also finished piping all the layout with each plot getting two water supply - fresh and recycled water supply. With all these measures, we feel confident of being in the right path to water security. Houses: Several people have approached us to build a weekend/second home. We will start that activity with the development of club house. Later this year, we will propose various models including financial details. Community Development: We now feel comfortable of proposing growing organic vegetables in the layout. In the next few weeks, we will be sending more information about this and seek your permission to grow vegetables in your site (you can opt out any time). We are also looking at various other activities such as installing few cycles at the site so that it will be fun-family picnic time for your family and friends. Please send your ideas to make it more engaging and interactive. Our belief is that some of these activities not only build a good community but also appreciate the property. Club House: With kind of development we have done, we felt the original area we envisioned for the club house is insufficient, and with around 9 crores budget we have reserved about 3.75 acres for club house and activity centre in the 2nd phase. In the next month to two, we will finalise and share the plans with you. Prelaunch of 2nd Phase: We are also excited to offer you, your family and your friends with an opportunity to make early bird reservation in the second phase of Indus Valley.
