Acknowledging the absence of the regulatory authority in Telangana under the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act (RERA), the state Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MAUD) Department has stepped up the pace of the formulation.
Officials have shared that the MAUD is simultaneously working on the Telangana RERA website to fasten the registration process. Navin Mittal, Principal Secretary, MAUD, has informed that the website launch is in its advanced stages and will soon allow hassle-free registration and filing of complaints.
In the absence of the regulatory authority in the state, the department had sought permission of the state government to designate the Municipal Administration secretary as an interim authority to receive and scrutinise the applications received from builders and agents. Further, the constitution of a town planning tribunal is also in progress, share officials.
