The Rajasthan government has drafted zonal and sector plans for the six cities across the state based on the 2025 Master Plan. Six cities include Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Bikaner, Kota and Ajmer. To expedite the overall process, the state High Court has directed all development authorities of these cities to submit the final draft in the next six months.

A petition has been filed against the negligence of the state government in drafting the zonal and sector plans and continuing with the regularisation of unauthorised colonies without finalising the approved plan.

Officials have stated that temporary encroachments were demolished. Most of the units were belonging to poor residents. No permanent encroachments have been removed.

In another petition, the Rajasthan High Court has asked the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) to furnish all details relating to the decision to cut the width of 11.7-km Bias Godam-Diggi Malpura Road from 100 feet to 60-40 feet on December 8, 2017. In March 2017, the JDA had reduced the width of the road to 60-40 feet. However, according to the Master Plan 2025, the road has been earmarked as a 100 feet road.
