The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) launched the Mumbai Housing Lottery Scheme to provide housing for all. The authority extended the date from September 4, 2024 to September 19, 2024, along with special discounts to provide aid to Mumbaikars. MHADA’s Mumbai Board announced the new lottery scheme of 2030 flats in prominent locations of the city. The MHADA Mumbai lottery included newly constructed flats from redeveloped projects under specific DC regulations and scattered flats from its previous schemes.

A total of 1,327 flats were constructed by MHADA, whereas 370 had been obtained as housing stock from developers under redevelopment projects and there were 333 scattered flats from MHADA’s previous lottery schemes.

The authority received a good response from buyers ever since it announced the reduction in prices of 370 homes from 10 percent to 25 percent. However, the discount in property prices varied for different flat categories.

The Mumbai Housing and Area Development Authority announced the draw results of its Mumbai Lottery Scheme on October 8, 2024. The officials started announcing the results at 11 AM in the presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Housing Minister Atul Save.

The authority extended the last date to apply for MHADA Lottery Scheme from September 4 to September 19, 2024 to ensure that applicants have more time to participate in the scheme. 

The provisional list of applications was submitted by MHADA on its official website on September 27, 2024, at 6 PM.  Hence, the list of final applicants was posted online at 6 PM on October 3, 2024.

The prices of homes available under the new lottery ranged between Rs 29 lakh and Rs 6.82 crore. Flats available under HIG category started from Rs 1 crore which further goes up till Rs 6.82 crore. MHADA Mumbai Lottery 2024: How to apply online?

Interested applicants followed the below steps to apply for MHADA Mumbai Lottery Scheme 2024:

Step 1: Visit the official website of MHADA and click Start Now (as shown in the image)

Step 2: Applicants had to Sign in either via PAN & Password or PAN & OTP option.

Step 3: The page then redirected to the applicants profile’s summary which had name, PAN card number, date of birth, mobile number and permanent address, among others

Step 4: The applicants uploaded documents, such as Aadhaar Card, domicile certificate, and PAN Card, among others.

Step 5: Once the documents were uploaded, the applicants entered the mobile number and email ID and received OTP for verification process. After entering OTP, the applicant had to confirm the permanent address, spouse's Aadhaar Card and PAN Card.  

After completing the above steps, the applicants were required to select the scheme in which they wanted to apply and register. Applicants had to pay the fee via NEFT/RTGS or Debit/Cared Card.

Nashik MHADA board opened a new set of housing schemes as a part of its first come, first serve and general lottery systems. The online scheme was launched on January 11, 2024, and the initial window for registration was kept open until February 12, 2024. However, to encourage more registrations, the authority had extended the registration date until March 4, 2024. The list of applicants won under the scheme is available on the official website from March 7, 2024. Under the scheme, Low-Income Group (LIG), Middle-Income Group (MIG) and High-Income Group apartments (HIG) were offered by the Nashik MHADA board.

CDP MHADA lottery (December 2023)

The CDP board of MHADA offered about 2,000 homes under the new CDP-MHADA Scheme. The scheme is part of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana's (PMAY) Affordable Housing in Partnership (AHP) program. Houses offered under the scheme are located in Vangani West, with prices starting from Rs 16.8 lakh per unit.

Apartments under the new CDP MHADA lottery are registered under MahaRERA with the registration number P51700028831. The project is spread over 100 acres and is a part of the Chadha Residency Project in Vangani West (near Badlapur Station).

Konkan MHADA lottery (September 2023)

The Konkan board of MHADA has offered around 5,300 homes under the new housing scheme. The houses are located in Thane, Kalyan, Palghar, Virar and Vasai and range between Rs 9.89 lakh and Rs 41.8 lakh. Out of 5,311 houses in the Konkan lottery scheme, 1,010 houses are under PMAY, 1,037 houses are integrated township, and 919 are under the inclusive housing scheme, 67 houses for journalists and 2,278 houses are under the Konkan board's first come, first serve basis.

The available apartments start from 1 RK up to 3 BHK. The smallest apartment in the scheme has a 204 sq ft carpet area, while the largest one has around 1,087 sq ft carpet area. The cheapest apartment is located in Kagal, Kohlapur, priced at Rs 5 lakh.

The 3 BHK apartment is the costliest, priced at Rs 1.11 crore in Pimpri's Sant Tukaram Nagar area. The carpet area of this apartment is around 882 sq ft.

MHADA Lottery 2023: New procedure to take possession of flats in Mumbai

For the first time, MHADA has taken the entire possession process online. The lottery winners are applicable for possession of the flat once they have paid the whole property price within the given time, including stamp duty, registration charges, and maintenance costs of the house. Furthermore, the winners must submit a caste certificate, domicile certificate, and all the other necessary documents.

The new process requires winners to log on to the MHADA portal using their credentials and complete all the payments and documentation as suggested on the portal. Once the entire process is done, winners will get the digitally signed possession letter from the officer to reduce the chances of fake documentation. The possession letter will also have a QR code to authenticate the document.

Rajendra Gaikwad, Deputy Chief Offer of Mumbai Housing Board, avers that winners who have completed the entire online procedure need only to visit the MHADA office to get the keys to their homes.

Pune MHADA lottery (January 2023)

The MHADA Pune lottery scheme 2023 has reportedly gathered a lukewarm response from applicants, primarily due to the online application process. As a result, the MHADA Pune first-come-first-serve lottery housing scheme witnessed several extensions. The registration window of the MHADA Pune lottery scheme 2023 has been closed on April 12, 2023. In contrast to over one lakh applications in the previous MHADA lottery scheme, the Authority has received only around 65,000 applications across over 20 different scheme codes.

The online and RTGS/NEFT payment windows also closed on April 12, 2023. The final list of accepted MHADA lottery applicants was published on August 5, 2023, while the lottery draw was conducted on August 7, 2023.

MHADA Pune launched tenements for designated budget groups, namely, the Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Low Income Group (LIG), Middle Income Group (MIG) and High Income Group (HIG), in the areas of Sangli, Pimpri Waghire, and Dive, among several others. The Pune board of MHADA launched 2,988 flats in its offering starting January 5, 2023. The Authority has announced 23 different scheme codes, from 635 to 654 and 690 to 693, across multiple income segments. Sangli has received seven individual scheme codes, which is the highest number of schemes allotted to a micro-market in the MHADA Pune Lottery Scheme 2023. Also, the LIG category holds the maximum share of housing units under the latest MHADA scheme. While most flats belonged to dedicated budget segments, around 762 units were open to all income groups. Of the remaining, 162 apartments were available for HIG, 810 flats were for MIG, 227 units were for EWS, and 1,027 apartments were for the LIG category.

The MHADA may soon bring about a significant revision in the Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) for the applicants of the Middle-Income Group (MIG) and High-Income Group (HIG). Officials have proposed that the EMD be raised from five percent to 10 percent of the property cost. The move is said to help make the flats available for genuine homebuyers. The authority will leave the EMD for applicants from the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Low-Income Group (LIG) untouched, as a hike might reduce their chances of owning a flat in the State. MHADA lottery 2023 (Konkan)

Ahead of Gudi Padwa festival, the Konkan Board of MHADA put together a housing scheme focusing on affordable housing for the masses. The MHADA lottery (Konkan) offered around 4,654 units, of which 984 houses were allotted to the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), 1,456 unitswere part of redeveloped projects in the region, 152 homes belonged to the various residential projects of the board, and 14 land parcels were earmarked for the lower and middle-income categories. Additionally, the board offered 2,048 housing units under the first-come-first-serve category.

MHADA lottery 2023 (Aurangabad)

The MHADA Aurangabad Board offering over 900 housing units across various areas of Aurangabad in a new housing scheme was launched on February 9, 2023. The registration deadline ended on April 19, 2023. The online payment for the same scheme could be made till April 20, 2023. The lottery draw, scheduled to be held on April 27, 2023 has been live-streamed on YouTube. The MHADA Aurangabad lottery results are published on the official MHADA website. MHADA lottery scheme 2021 Pune board

The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) had started accepting online applications for its upcoming housing scheme in Pune. The online registration has ended on January 12, 2021. Under the lottery scheme, the Authority will provide affordable homes to low-income and mid-income segment homebuyers. The allotment of flats and plots would be carried out through a lottery system. Later, all winners will be required to submit all the necessary documents before MHADA. This time, as many as 5,579 flats and 68 plots would be allotted. The lottery draw is going on. Under the lottery scheme, flats and plots will be constructed in Pune, Kolhapur, Sangli, and Solapur.

MHADA mill worker lottery result 2020

The Maharashtra government has recently announced the results of the lottery to allot as many as 3,894 flats constructed on erstwhile mill lands, organised by the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA).

Under the housing scheme, MHADA has constructed 720 flats at Bombay Dyeing Mill land in Wadala, 2,630 flats in Spring Mills, and 544 flats in the Srinivas Mill at Lower Parel. Over 1.74 lakh mill workers had applied for houses under the lottery scheme.

MHADA Lottery Scheme 2024: Latest updates

February 2024

In an attempt to increase the participation of applicants, the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) extended the ongoing first-come-first-serve schemes for Konkan, Pune, Nashik and CDP.

Per the latest update as of February 12, 2024, FCFS schemes for Pune was extended till May 11, Nashik till March 4, and MHADA CDP until March 1. The last date to register for the Konkan FCFC scheme was again extended by a week until February 16, 2024.

MHADA has extended the registration dates to invite more applications and attract more homebuyers across all active schemes. Notably, MHADA Pune and Konkan have been active since September 2023.

January 2024

On January 11, 2024, MHADA Nashik announced the new housing scheme comprising the allotment of over 790 residential units across Nashik. The scheme offers units under five different categories, including 69 units under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. The last date to register for the scheme is February 12, 2024. Interested candidates can visit the official website of MHADA to know more about the scheme.
