The 23 km-long section of the Lucknow Metro has gained approval from the Commissioner for Metro Rail Safety (CMRS). The Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC) has recently completed its trial run on the remaining section of the Charbagh-Munshipulia line. The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to digitise land records in 70 districts across the state at an estimated cost of Rs 15.71 crore. For the proposed project, the central government would extend an aid of Rs 10.5 crore while the state government has decided to bear the remaining cost of Rs 5.21 crore.
