Since the establishment of Karnataka Real Estate Regulatory Authority (Karnataka RERA), about 45 applications received for registration of ongoing projects under the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act (RERA) have been rejected. So far, a total number of 1,923 applications have been received by the developers to register their real estate projects across the state.

As per latest information available on the RERA website, about 921 realty agents have applied for registration under the Act. Out of which, 679 agents have got RERA registration number. Further, out of all received applications for realty projects, 1,259 projects have been successfully registered with the regulatory authority.
However, the registration numbers in certain parts of the state, including Hubballi-Dharwad and Belagavi have been low. Till now, only 69 projects have been registered in Hubballi-Dharwad. Similarly, the number of projects registered in Belagavi with the regulatory authority is 31. Only three projects have been registered in Vijayapura and one each in Gadag and Davangere.
