The Hyderabad High Court(HC) has questioned the Right to Fair Compensation Act in the State for unfair actions in the name of land acquisition. Hyderabad developers want RERA deadline extended

At the 4th annual general body meeting of Telangana Builders Federation (TBF), TBF General Secretary, Jakka Venkat Reddy, said that the builders are not aware of the process to register themselves with the State regulator. It is to be noted that registration of all real estate projects sanctioned between January 1, 2017 till August 31, 2018 under TS RERA by November 30, 2018 is mandatory. The Central Government has demanded the Telangana government to return the financial assistance of Rs 190 crore that was sanctioned under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) - Gramin. Cost of construction in Hyderabad is lowest across top six metros

According to a report published by global research and consulting firm CBRE South Asia, construction cost in Mumbai is the highest among top six cities followed by Chennai and Bangalore, where the same is at par with Delhi and Pune. As per the records of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), around 50 percent of the structures in Hyderabad have been identified for deviating building plans while 10 percent of the identified structures were found illegal. There are about 22 lakh households within the GHMC's jurisdiction. The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has decided to serve notices to builders who have not registered their projects under the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act (RERA). The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has recently raised Rs 195 crore via municipal bonds. This is the second time in the last four months when the civic body has raised funds by selling municipal bonds that offer 9.38 percent return with 10-year maturity.
