According to Chief Minister, K Chandrashekhar Rao, the Telangana government is preparing a new, inviolable master plan for Hyderabad. The Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI) will be tasked with the responsibility of preparing the new master plan, which can appoint international and national experts as consultants. The 10 km-long Hyderabad metro corridor, running between Ameerpet and HITEC City, is set to become operational from December 2018. Hyderabad developers want RERA deadline extended

At the 4th annual general body meeting of Telangana Builders Federation (TBF), TBF General Secretary, Jakka Venkat Reddy, said that the builders are not aware of the process to register themselves with the State regulator. Cost of construction in Hyderabad is lowest across top six metros

According to a report published by global research and consulting firm CBRE South Asia, construction cost in Mumbai is the highest among top six cities followed by Chennai and Bangalore, where the same is at par with Delhi and Pune. Hyderabad has the lowest construction cost of approximately Rs 2,375 per sq ft for an apartment in a mid-rise building. In Mumbai, the average construction cost is pegged at Rs 3,125 per sq ft. As per the records of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), around 50 percent of the structures in Hyderabad have been identified for deviating building plans while 10 percent of the identified structures were found illegal. There are about 22 lakh households within the GHMC's jurisdiction.
