The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has set a deadline of a year for completing all ongoing physical infrastructure projects in the city. Under the Strategic Road Development Plan (SRDP), the civic body is constructing several flyovers to relieve traffic congestion in vital sectors of the city.

G Sridhar, Chief Engineer (Projects), GHMC, has shared that one of the proposed flyovers under the development plan, Bairamalguda RHS flyover, will be completed by 2020. However, no exact completion date has been shared. The proposed flyover will ease traffic congestion from LB Nagar to Owaisi junction.

The LB Nagar underpass is estimated to reach completion by the end of this year at a projected cost of Rs 18.5 crore. The municipal corporation is working on 14 infrastructure projects including underpasses and flyovers. The expenditure on construction of all the structures in LB Nagar and the surrounding areas is expected to come up to Rs 448 crore.

The Kamineni RHS flyover is more likely to be completed by the month of May 2019, while the LHS flyover was inaugurated in August last year. In addition, the GHMC has also confirmed the completion of the Durgam Cheruvu cable bridge by February 2020. The cable bridge will be developed at Rs 184 crore.
