Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has received an overwhelming response towards its housing Scheme for 2019, the draw of which is likely to be held by the end of June 2019. Reportedly, the authority has received over 40,000 applications so far and is expecting close to 50,000 applications as the final count.

As per the recent revelation made by the officials of the Delhi Development Authority (DDA), the authority has received over 40,000 applications under the housing scheme for 2019. According to the officials, the response of the scheme, this year has been overwhelming. Going ahead, the urban body is expectant of an increase in the final count. As informed by a senior official from DDA, the registration of the housing scheme ended on June 10, 2019 and the authority is further expecting close to 50,000 applications. The draws for the same is likely to be held by the end of this month.

Reportedly, nearly 18,000 residential units are available on offer under the said scheme in Vasant Kunj and Narela. Further, while 450 out of the total flats are there for the high-income group (HIG), 1,550 belong to the middle-income category and 8,300 are for the lower-income group (LIG). Over 7,000 units are reserved for the economically weaker section (EWS) of the society.

While 2,000 flats under the older scheme have been booked already, nearly 1,000 are available on offer as of now. The said flats can be booked online and will be made available on first come first serve basis. The offer is available till the inventory lasts, informed the DDA official.
