Rohini mainly has a number of DDA flats such as, LIG (Lower Income Group) and MIG (Middle Income Group) flats. Most of the residential colonies here are accompanied by extensive parks and adjacent bus stands. The area has lush green parks which is a rare sight in Delhi. Among the many parks in Rohini, the most famous one is the Swarna Jayanti District Park also called the Japanese Park. In Rohini a 2/3 BHK will cost you anything between Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000. The rates are high if the area is close to the Metro Station or to the road, for e.g. in Rajeev Nagar the rentals are pretty high due these reasons.
Shruti Mukherjee who lives in Rohini says that, “I live here on rent but soon plan to invest in property here because the area is so green and fresh. My children also feel safe here”. According to her, commuting used to be a problem but now with the metro link even that problem is solved.

Avantika which is situated in Sector 1 is known as the biggest market in Rohini especially for all shopping buffs.
Rohini has three metro stations, Rohini East in sector 14, Rohini West in sector 12 and Rithala Metro Station situated on the Red Line of the Delhi Metro Line 1 which connects this region to Dilshad Garden, Kashmere Gate and other parts of Delhi.
