Abbigere is one such locality which is registering high buyer traction owing to its fast evolving infrastructure.

Commercial hub

Abbigere is home to Peenya, one of the biggest industrial hubs of Asia. Peenya encompasses several small, medium and large-scale industries producing, electronics, textiles, machine tools and rubber moulding gears. Besides, Abbigere is in proximity to Yelahanka, Kadugodi, Manyata Tech Park, MS Ramaiah Road and other Central Business Districts (CBD), which makes it popular among the young working populace.

According to Karim Pir Khan, Managing Director, Network Ventures, “While capital demand in Abbigere is driven by the industrial and corporate populace, who cannot afford a house in the heart of the city, rental demand is largely fueled by the student community. Several medical and engineering college students, both from India and abroad, particularly from Africa and Maldives live here. Lower rentals and a plethora of food joints and entertainment options keep the rental demand afloat.”


Namma Green Line is an important mode of transport to and from Abbigere. Covering 24 stations, it ensures a hassle-free trip to locales such as Banashankari, Jayanagar, South End Circle, National College, Yeshwantpur, Peenya, and Jalahalli. Besides, Abbigere is only four km away from Yeshwantpur Railway Station, 13 km from Majestic Railway Station and 20 km from Bengaluru International Airport.

The State buses also ply here at frequent intervals. Auto-rickshaws and cabs are also readily available at odd hours, affirming round the day connectivity to different parts of the city. Moreover, Abbigere also boasts of its proximity to critical areas such as Cross, BEL Circle, PB Road, and Mathikere. All these locations are accessible via road within 10-15 minutes from Abbigere.

Investment prospects

With average property prices pegged at Rs 2,700-4,200 per sq ft, the low-income and mid-income segment have more to gain from residential apartments in Abbigere. Plotted developments here are also reasonably priced. On an average, a plot of 750-2,500 sq ft area hovers from Rs 2,200 per sq ft to Rs 12,500 per sq ft.

Although currently, the average capital prices in Abbigere are on the lower side, its increased popularity and seamless connectivity to key stretches such as NICE Road, Tumkur Road  and Bannerghatta Road are expected to fillip the housing demand further and thereby, the real estate prices.
