East China Architectural Design & Research Institute (Ecadi) has been roped into plan and design Gujarat’s under construction project called GIFT (Gujarat International Finance Tech-City)
The first phase is to be complete by 2010. GIFT will be developed on a land area of 500 acres, with a built-up area potential of upto 75 million sq. feet. The next phase will see the development of townships around the city. IL&FS has secured an advance booking of 6 million sq. feet in GIFT, near Gandhinagar.
GIFT will have the tallest structure in India of 350-400 metres and has 250 acres of Special Economic Zone.
